Coming from humble beginnings at Adelaide’s Central Markets, Subway Meats have now become one of Adelaide’s largest and well respected Wholesalers. Subway Meats source RSPCA Approved chicken for a range of their products sold in independent supermarkets in South Australia. 

Meat chickens raised on farms that meet the RSPCA’s detailed animal welfare Standard are provided with an enriched environment that caters for their physical and mental needs. These farms provide the birds with more space to move, perches to increase their leg health, good lighting periods to encourage activity, proper dark periods for rest, and quality, dry litter to dustbathe and forage in. These farms are assessed 2-4 times per year by specially trained RSPCA Assessors to make sure the Standard is being met.
