Marion Bay are committed to higher-welfare farming practices and only source chicken from producers with RSPCA Approved certification.

These farms take pride in raising their birds to a higher standard of animal welfare than legally required. During the day meat chickens have access to an attractive outdoor area with shade to protect them from the sun and plenty of space to explore. At night the birds have shelter and protection inside a large barn, with space to move and perch, dustbathe and forage. These farms are assessed regularly to ensure they meet the RSPCA Approved Standard for Meat Chickens, including additional requirements for outdoor.

Marion Bay offers customers a range of free-range RSPCA Approved chicken products, available in Tasmania through IGA, independent grocers, rotisserie shops and butchers.
