Higher Welfare Pancakes for Pancake Day!

One of the greatest things about pancakes is how easy and versatile they are. Whether you’re having them for breakfast, lunch or dinner, you can always add mixed berries, banana, coconut or even your favourite treats like choc chips to the mix!

Here is my favourite and super quick recipe for making higher welfare pancakes.

Super quick pancakes

Ingredients
1 cup of self-raising flour
1 cup of milk (dairy or soy)
¼ cup of white sugar
1 cage free egg or directed amount of egg replacer
Dash of vanilla essence

Combine flour, milk and sugar into a large mixing bowl. Add the egg and vanilla essence and stir all ingredients together until it creates a smooth batter. When mixed, pour the preferred amount of batter into a heated and oiled frying pan. When the bubbles start to appear and pop on the upper side of the pancake, you will know it’s time to flip!

You can add more flour for a thicker pancakes or more milk for thinner pancakes.

Serve with your preferred toppings.
